Join our 6-month paid traineeship in Espoo and gain hands-on experience in IT support, cloud technologies, infrastructure, and AI automation in an international team.
Location: Espoo, Finland (Keilaranta 17) — mainly on-site
Position: Full-time, fixed-term (6 months), paid traineeship
Starting: Immediately upon finding a suitable candidate
Application Deadline: 25 September 2026
We are looking for a customer service minded IT Infrastructure Trainee to start building a career with us.
As an IT Infrastructure Trainee, you will support our daily IT operations and work with first- and second-line support tasks in our Infrastructure & End User Services team. You will join a small IT team serving Telko companies across multiple countries. You will focus on end-user support and hands-on infrastructure work, while developing your skills in modern cloud and identity technologies.
Why Telko?
Telko is more than a distributor, we are a sustainable growth partner for various industries. We combine strong technical expertise, sustainability-driven thinking, and customer-centric solutions to help businesses succeed. With operations in 18 countries and a broad portfolio in plastics, chemicals, and lubricants, we are a trusted link between leading global principals and local industries.
We operate with the agility of a mid-sized company and the stability of a long-established corporation. At Telko, you’ll join an open, international, solution-oriented culture that encourages initiative and growth.
Your Key Responsibilities
• End-user support and service request handling, taking personal responsibility for the tickets assigned to you.
• Workstation and mobile device lifecycle management.
• User onboarding and offboarding.
• Microsoft 365, Teams and collaboration tool support.
• Active Directory and Entra ID administration.
• IT asset management and inventory maintenance.
• Monitoring and follow-up of operational alerts.
• Meeting room and office technology support.
• Documentation and knowledge base maintenance.
• Participation in infrastructure-related operational tasks, with support from the team.
• Building and maintaining simple AI automations and agents that streamline the tasks above — for example ticket triage, onboarding and offboarding steps, reporting and documentation.
The role combines End User Services and Infrastructure Operations, providing broad exposure to enterprise IT environments.
What We’re Looking For
• A relevant educational background in Information Technology or a related field. You may be a student in the final stages of your studies or a recent graduate.
• Previous work experience is not required — we are looking for interest, attitude and a willingness to learn.
• A genuine interest in IT infrastructure and support services.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365.
• An understanding of networking basics — IP addressing, DNS, DHCP and VPN — and the ability to use that understanding when troubleshooting.
• A proactive, service-minded attitude and willingness to take ownership of your tasks and see them through.
• Experience in building AI automation or AI agents — or a genuine willingness to learn how to apply them to the responsibility areas above. We do not expect you to be an expert; curiosity and the drive to automate repetitive work matter more.
• Fluency in Finnish and English (corporate language is English).
The following are considered an advantage: Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Azure, PowerShell, IT service management tools, AI automation and agent platforms (e.g. Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Claude, n8n or similar), and hands-on experience with network equipment, firewalls or Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
What We Offer
• A paid six-month traineeship in a dynamic, growing international company.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise infrastructure technologies, cloud services, identity management and IT operations.
• Onboarding, support and mentoring from experienced IT professionals.
• The chance to learn and apply AI automation and agent tools in a real enterprise IT environment.
• A positive work environment where initiative is encouraged.
• A great atmosphere in a highly engaged team.
• Valuable work experience and a strong foundation for a future career in IT infrastructure.
• Possibility of continuing in the team after the traineeship.
